This rug is woven in Afghanistan with vegetable dyes and hand spun wool. The design is inspired from antique village weaving rugs of early 20th century. This rug is produced by an organized weaving project in Afghanistan. By using hand carded, hand spun wool and vegetable dyes, they weave these rugs the way they were woven in early 20th century. However, while the weaving is done in the traditional way, the colors have been up dated to reflect today's decorating needs. The result is high quality rugs which are beautiful with timeless design.
