This rug is woven in Hazara province of Afghanistan with vegetable dyes and hand spun wool. The design is inspire from antique Caucasian rugs. This rug is produce by organize weaving project in Afghanistan. By using hand carded, hand spun wool and vegetable dyes, they weave these rugs the way it was woven in 19 century, even the size and color combination reflect the rugs from that era. These efforts reproduce the folk art quality and beauty of antique tribal rugs.
