Afghan Turkmen design rug 3'11 x 5'10

This rug is woven in Hazara province of Afghanistan with vegetable dyes and hand spun wool. The design is inspired from antique Turkmen rugs. This rug is produced by organize weaving project in Afghanistan By using hand carded, hand spun wool and vegetable dyes, they weave these rugs the way they were woven in 19^th century, even the size and color combination reflect the rugs from that era. These efforts reproduce the folk-art quality and beauty of antique tribal rugs. Colors in this rug are: Rust red, Navy blue, medium blue. beige.
