Ahmad Mohammadian — Owner & Founder
Ahmad began his career in the 1980s repairing fine Oriental rugs using weaving techniques taught to him by his grandmother. His deep understanding of craftsmanship, dyes, and traditional rug structure quickly earned him recognition. In 1986, he opened Homa Oriental Rugs in downtown Seattle.
Ahmad’s passion traces back to childhood days spent with his father in Tehran’s Grand Bazaar, where he learned to identify exceptional rugs by touch, texture, and detail. Today, Ahmad blends his traditional Persian-market knowledge with modern trends in color and design, ensuring that every rug at Homa Rugs is both timeless and relevant.
Bijan Mohammadian — Showroom Manager
Bijan joined Homa Rugs in 2010 as the fourth generation to enter the rug trade. A lifelong Seattle resident, he pairs his family's century-long rug expertise with a deep understanding of what local homeowners and designers are looking for. Bijan has an exceptional eye for proportion, color, and style, allowing him to help customers find the perfect rug for any room — modern or traditional, bold or understated.
